Don Ventura

Our Wine

Don Ventura is produced from grapes grown in a single vineyard located in the Amandi subzone of Ribeira Sacra. This vineyard is over 100 years old and covers an area of one hectare. The terrain is steep and the soil is composed of granite. Traditional Galician stone walls terrace the vineyard and the vines descend towards the Sil River. The river's presence adds a sweet freshness to the plot, which balances the mineral character imparted by the granite soil.

Don Ventura has a bright, clean, intense cherry red color with violet tones. On the nose, it presents intense varietal aromas of strawberry and blackcurrant, with floral and lactic notes. The taste is long and marked by the flavors of red fruits and bone, resulting in a pleasant and flavorful wine.

Vinification

After being manually harvested and placed in small boxes, the grapes undergo complete destemming and crushing before being spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
